Snobby Fat People

The morbidly obese upper crust

Hey! Victor post! Unbelievable. Anyway, I was going to include a caption, but I'm testing to see if it says what I want it to without one. Soo... here he is.

About posting, my roommate just checked this blog and thought no one had updated the last post because the picture on top was the same and so she didn't scroll down. Perhaps we should make it so when you're adding a new picture to the post, add it at the top of the pictures (but below the topic description).

This is Peg Danishbottom. She inherited her millions from her father's pastry business, Danishbottom's Bottomless Danish, Co. Unfortunately, the business went under when it was discovered that Peg had found the bottom, and had eaten the company's entire inventory. This is why Peg looks pissed...all the time.

For some reason, all I could really think of was someone akin to the Monopoly guy. But with an obese twist. His very fat brother, perhaps?
And let it be noted that I am a huge advocate of very small hats.

I feel like a terrible person *lol*. Apparently, in my mind, I associate 'upper crust' with stretch pants, Louis Vuitton, ugly small dogs, and bad hair. And giant diamonds. Woo! Lens Flare! I drew this just now while sitting around at my internship :D. Sorry for the tiny picture size, Blogger is being a bitch. Edited again: Maybe this will be actually larger this time?

Okay I drew four fat people this week, and I chose my favorite two to display. Please forgive the crappy look - my scanner sucks and I don't have a good enough pen to oh wait, I found a new brush pen. Those suckers wear out so fast. Maybe I'm just extra hard on mine... anyway! Here are some fat snobs that took an obnoxiously long time to scan! You had better freaking enjoy them.

That thing in her right hand is a cheese ball, so you know. It has various nuts on it.

He's not so much snobby as he is happy to have his cake, but I still think he counts.
Sincerely, Carder.

#2 Cat Lady

Ok, cat ladies this time. Freaking post them this time!

Hey look, I'm the first one to post even though I was the last one last time (except then I realized I wasn't, because CARDER never posted anything). Anyway, here is my cat lady.

Yes, she is wearing leggings. And I am sad that her sweatshirt is covered. I was going to draw a huge kitten on it. Oh well. - Lauren

Don't talk trash about me just because I didn't draw chickens. I feel like my cat lady could beat yours up.

Love, Carder

At first she was really deranged and looked like a crazy lady who'd happened to pick up a cat, but I think she lost that a little bit. She's mostly senile now. Sorry, I think I accidently stole your cat trying to get away a bit, Lauren, except mine is way more docile than yours. :P -Emily

I decided to take Lauren's cat that's liking itself one step further, and I had Lauren's cat lady in mind while drawing this because I'm not creative enough to imagine my own. It could use more slobber. This picture is the classiest thing I've ever drawn, really.

Note to newcomers: To edit a post, you have to click the link to make a new post, and in that link, the second tab over is "Edit Posts." It has a link to all the current posts and lets you edit the post from there. So, make like you're gonna post something entirely new, but then choose the other tab instead :). - Shawn

WAAAAIT!! Before we post the morbidly obese upper crust, I have my cat lady.....who could be a morbidly obese upper crust, too. She's spends her millions on taking her cats to kitty day spas. But they still hate her.

#1 - Chickens!

Chickens are freakin hilarious.

Just edit this post, since you should have access to the blog posts to edit them. Edit, upload, put at least your name in there and you know... whatever you have to say about it. I'd make sure and copy the part of your post with your image and what you write, just in case someone else is editing at the same time, you'll at least have that to paste back in.

I drew some chickens in class that I like, but the scanner is too far away. Here's a painter chicken. -Emily

Do you know how long it took me to find the "edit posts" option? Minutes, I tell you. Minutes. I was very confused.
Here's a sexy chicken:

And here are some things that look like chickens maybe:

I did it! - Shawn

OKAY! Here are my chickens, finally. Sorry they're not all that cleaned up. I have my scanner set up but still no Photoshop :P

Apparently, I was in the mood to draw chickens with eating disorders. - Lauren

First try at this

Carder and I came up with this last semester. It'd be really awesome if we could get a little community going here with the SC animajors. So, I was thinking we could have a weekly topic and everyone could post an image on that topic. It can be super basic or as complex as you want - just doodle something when you're in the lab or class or whatever - not a big time commitment.
Then, since you'll all be blog authors, you can post your image to the blog. You just have to make a new post, and it'll show up. I was thinking maybe we could all just edit the first post and upload our images and just run the risk that someone else is doing it at the same time. Because really, what are the odds that'll happen? There are like thirty people in the major. So that might be the easiest way.
So post in the comments if you're interested or what you think of the idea. I can start inviting people to the blog if you email me your gmail address. If you don't have a gmail address what are you waiting for? It's the wave of the future!
